Is it OK to correct the grammar mistakes of foreign speakers? For example, when a speaker says something like:

"Everyone stay still and we have 10 minute of silence. Then, something happen."

I'm tempted to pluralize "stay," "minute" and "happen," but I'm unsure if that's considered changing the speaker's tone.

Can I get a bad grade if I don't correct it, even though it's exactly what the speaker said?

If its Castingwords - you type what is said. (Unless the hit says correct grammar)

Well, this is the CastingWords sub-forum, so yes it is. ;)

Broken engrish is OK, then? That's good to know, thanks.

YMMV, but FWIW, I made a couple of minor grammatical corrections in a recent transcript and (at least in this case) those corrections did not hurt my 9.

Quoting the current style guide: "... It's OK to occasionally clean up grammar but the transcript must be an accurate representation of what was said." (Interpret that as you will.) YMMV

    I did a HIT with broken engrish today and didn't correct anything. I got a 9. :D

I probably could have corrected a few words and still get a 9, but this HIT had way too many grammar mistakes. Seriously, I don't think there was a sentence that didn't need fixing.
