What does everyone use to keep track of the hits they've done. I have Hit Database but I haven't figured all of the ins and outs of it to keep an accurate record of what I should be paid for each job and what bonuses are promised. I'm thinking a spreadsheet is probably the way to go but I figured rather than reinvent the wheel, I would see if someone wanted to share theirs, if of course that is the best way. I just know that when a requester says we're gonna pay you 50¢ in 30 days, I'd like to make sure I actually get that 50¢.

in my opinion the HIT DB is enough for tracking your progress. The HIT money gets paid and the bonus is paid kinda always. To keep track of it in a spreadsheet is way to unhandy. If you complete only 100 HITs a day your sheet will explode with information and make it almost impossible to keep track of everything.

Hi, sorry if this is a dumb question. I've been doing these transcription hits, and the other day, I grabbed two of them because I thought I could "hoard" them and be fast enough to do two in the allotted 4 hours. Well, something came up, and one expired. Now I can't accept any more of them. I don't think I've been blocked, because I was able to do one that paid more by the same requester, so I think it's a problem with the group. Is there anything I can do so that I can keep doing them? Or do I have to email the requester?

I've seen it posted a few times on here that two people can't turk with the same bank account info. I'm a little worried, because my wife and I actually do both have our mturk accounts tied to the same bank account.

Obviously we've both withdrawn many times with no issues, but am I going to log in one day to find out both our accounts have been suspended or something? Should we contact Amazon and try to change one of them? I'm almost worried that trying to change it is gonna trigger something and that's when they'll go and suspend us.

I have the page monitor extension in Chrome...but it seems like every time it notifies me of a hit posting by one of my preferred requesters the hits are gone already...am I doing something wrong? I have my check interval set at 15 seconds. Even when I am on the computer and click immediately 9 times out of ten I get the "no hits" page.

your only way is to contact the requester. looks like you lost your qual from here. otherwise you reached the limit for the HIT-group and should be able to work on new tasks. If you can give the requester name the answer can be better.

There should be no problem with changing the banking account.

it`s a design problem with page monitor. If it gets the "Maximum Page Requests..." error it says a new task is available. Issues can be triggered if you have too many checks on the same interval.

I'm sorry if this question has already been asked. I looked but couldn't find it. Does the 10 day hold on money end on the 10th day or the day after? Also how long on average does it take you guys to get it? I'm just asking because I have a doctors appointment on the 10th day and if I can't get my mturk money I'll probably have to borrow some from my fiancee. So I was curious.

What is hamming? I understand that it is doing a bunch of batch hits, but does "ham" stand for something?

Also, if a hit expires, is that the same as returning it?

HAM stands for "Hard @ss Mofo". So hamming a batch means knuckling down and doing as many as you can catch.

Yes, if it expires out of your queue, that's the same as returning it, as far as stats and the system goes. Once a specific HIT has been returned or expired, you can't accept that one again, unless the requester reposts it with a new batch.

I've been trying to get to the scripts tab and I've been getting a notice that the server can't be found. using Firefox. Is there a server down or am I just special?

I have a question about "batches"... can someone explain this to me, please? For example, I did a receipt review and it said there were 41 hits available.. I did one. is a batch when I do them all? are they all different, or is it 41 hits of that one receipt? I know this is dumb, but I can't find the answer. And do I put them all in my own queue so that others can't then get them? Is there a really elementary primer that I can read on this, so I don't have to ask questions? thanks!

The Scripts tab on the forum? It's working for me. The direct URL is http://mturkscripts.com/.

Or you can go to Monica's Scripts for Newbies thread, which is more updated and commented on, to learn about Mturk helpful scripts. And feel free to ask questions in the daily HITs thread; that's where nearly everyone here hangs out, day and night.
