Okay so forgive me if this question has already been asked. I'm just wondering once you got to or passed your 1000 hit mark, how much money on average could you make per day? I'm asking because I'm sitting at almost 800 and want to know what I should be expecting. I read a lot about that being one of the first big milestones to shoot for and that after that, there's a noticeable difference in the amount of or quality of the hits that are available to you. (like higher paying surveys and batches) A little info about myself is that I am treating mturk as a full time job right now, so I would be available to turk all day if necessary. (hopefully not). Looking forward to reading you all's input on this.

It will make a difference but it doesn't necessarily promise you $100 days every day. Just like being at 100 or 500, you only need to be around to see when something posts. Reach for 5k. After that you're pretty much done because very few people use >10k.

In all honesty quals are much more important than numbers 9 times out of 10.

Okay cool. 5000 is my next range I'm shooting for. I'm not expecting to do 100 dollar days any time soon ( although I'm not complaining at all if I do ;)) but is 20 a day a reasonable expectation? I've hit 20 even without being at 1000 hits but it took me almost all day. I'm just wondering if it gets easier to make in that range without literally spending your entire day doing so. I've read about some folks doing this in just a few hours.

In that respect, yes. Making $20 a day is doable regardless of what numbers you are at but it is slightly harder when you're just starting out. You'll start seeing more surveys and such open up at that point. I'm going to go out on a ledge and say you mostly did surveys to make that $20.

But keep in mind it's summer time now, and academic surveys and/or requesters disappear. Summers are always the worst in terms of amount of work to do but you can still scrape by. It's an unpredictable platform so one day you might make $250 and then make $10 a day for the next 3 months. And as mentioned above, quals are your lifesaver, especially during the summer.

Yep you're right I did do mostly surveys. Are there any particular quals I should be on the lookout for so I can survive this summer drought? :(

OCMP5 is probably the best in terms of non-secretive quals. Otherwise just watch scraper throughout the day and see if qual hits pop up. You could also do PI Search but it requires you to take a test and the pay is meh until you get the hang of them. I average about $15/hr on them. Not the best but its something I guess.
