I never completed a writing/long transcriptions yet but I was wondering whether it is worth the time and how long does it take for someone to complete a 100 word paragraph for 0.50 and sometimes even 0.05 !!

This is a constant thought on my mind. I think mturk is a very interesting cost/benefit analysis problem, and gives good insight into the work people are willing to do. Some tasks I wouldn't even consider!

for me to do a 100 word review or article it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to research and type out in my own words what the article is about. I think the writing hits are the most worth it. But i do mostly the 2-5 dollar ones and they take longer.

between spending my time doing nothing.. and completing hits.. the second option is the best choice.

mmm..well some other hits are worth every second of my time spent on them. However there are some hits that pay so little yet the work load is big. I just skip such hits and do the ones that are time/cost effective for me.
