I think the system could be improved with a good feedback/rating system. It seems the biggest problem is the lack of regulation from Amazon in regards to fraudulent requesters.
I agree entirely. We need to be able to pop a requester who fails to approve good honest work. We also need to point out people who pay slowly or post things that are ridiculously long for the amount paid.
ABSOLUTELY! I also would like to get a response from someone who didn't accept work and find out WHY they rejected it. Fortunately, I've only had three requests turned down out of 350 or so submitted. I know the reason one was rejected, but when I wrote about the other two, no one responded. One only took a couple of minutes, but the other one was a 45 minute job. I think a courtesy reply is in order.
Yeah. Luckily people are generally not bad with rejecting posts. It would be great to be able to rate job posters and leave comments for public view.
I would LOVE the option to be able to leave comments for public view. Such as, when a job is paying much lower than the amount of work they are requesting. How much work are we expected to do for $0.04?
I agree with this point. It is good to have a public reviews or comments function which will make it more clear for the workers to help decide which hit to take.
Or it would be neat to just show worker ID's who have been approved, if they are worried about confidentiality.
Can't see Amazon ever going for that one. You know there would be people who would just spam all the low-paying HITs with negative feedback, even the ones where the low pay is reasonable for the work done. I think a more useful system would be just a plain ol' HITs posted, HITs approved, HITs rejected metric for every requester, just like we have as workers. Besides, if Amazon really wanted workers leaving public comments about requesters, they would allow it on the official MTurk support forum. When such topics do get posted there, they are quickly deleted.
