I've just run across one that's similar to this. The company has about 4 locations. The first one listed is in France. Then come locations in the Russian Federation, Canada, and Germany (I think). I was tempted to put the French location first, since it felt like the most likely to be the HQ, then thought maybe the Canadian one would be more appropriate language-wise, then decided to return the HIT. Any guidance would be much appreciated!
Hi all, I'm filling in for Steven Schneider while he's traveling...please continue to ask questions and I will answer them. Re: a) The website loaded but there is no content on it, just the website name in bold, do we consider this as broken and enter broken in 'About Us' field? >Yes. Please put broken in the About Us field as it sounds like this company no longer exists. Re: b) I saw a site which had a combined 'Product/Solution' page, we can check-mark both the 'Products' and 'Solution' page in this case, right? >Yes. Thanks!
Re: companies that have multiple locations. >Always look for the HQ location if there are multiple locations on the website. If no HQ is specified, please prioritize locations in this order: US, Canada, UK, other Europe. In this case, enter in the Canada address.
I would think in that case to go ahead and put in the non-US location. I had one yesterday that was in Canada, and that was ok. You just might have to put city or locality information in the City space and not use the drop-down for US states. BTW, THANKS jsprinkel for stopping by!
Correct. If a company has multiple addresses, please prioritize HQ location in this order: US, Canada, UK, other Europe. In other words, if no US location exists, choose Canada location. If no Canada location, choose UK location...and so on. If none of the above apply, go ahead an put in the location that fits best so we can weed out companies that operate outside of countries we sell into. Thanks!
Just wanted to clarify: if there is a single location, assume it is the HQ location and enter that (it's okay if it's not US). Thanks!
Do you know the time frame for approving and paying out? I'm trying to arrange all of my money to be ready to transfer by the 20th so it will be ready for Black Friday.
I have a question.. What if the company website is a parked domain? Meaning, It's not a product website anymore but still exists, with spam like content?
What if my virus protection will not allow me to open a website and the only page it goes to is a warning?
Well - in general, mark BROKEN. Just make sure it is really a bad page. I don't want everyone submitted to say that just because your virus protection has a problem. If the page is not a valid company, mark BROKEN
I have some questions 1)What if the company website is redirected to a totally different website ? 2)What if the company is a Standerdised Software Reseller ? 3)Will cloud software companies come under software offers?
I've run into a problem this morning with the form website. I've often gotten this message when I go to a HIT's form link: Logi Debugger Trace Report There was an error while processing your request. The error was: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) How should we be reporting these? Would you want a note in the code confirmation box? If not, there isn't a way to inform you in the HIT, and all I can do is return it and let you know by message through MTurk or here.
Same error here too Logi Debugger Trace Report There was an error while processing your request.
