This is a recommendation. There is a couple that made an extension for mTurk that is great. You can find it here: http://turkopticon.differenceengines.com/ You must use Firefox browser to use it. The extension once added, gives you the ability to find out more about requestors. You will see a down arrow next to the requestor name, which gives you how other mTurker's have had experiences with the requestor. Check it out. I love it. And have added my own reviews as well.
Really? I don't think I did that. And it works fine. But I did try it once the first time I seen it, and had no luck with installing it. But then I tried again recently and it installed no problem. Not sure if I did the greasemonkey thing the first time.
I got this extension and the first thing I did was rate the guy who sent me here. Doesn't seem to be a lot f people rating yet, but I think it is a good idea
Just downloaded it .... I just downloaded and installed it. Seems to work fine. Of course, I just downloaded Firefox yesterday for the first time, thanks to reading about it on this forum. Lots of stuff to play with this week!
I like this tool. If nothing else it helps me remember who I did not like working for. Please be sure and rate them. Together we are a force.
problems with downloading I have tried to download it couple of times, but have not been successful. I got the message that the download was successful, but I dont see the bar above the requestor's name. What should I do? Has anybody faced a problem downloading this tool?
It's not a bar above their name, but a little triangle to the left of it. If you don't see that, then be sure to check your Add Ons page and make sure Firefox turned the extension on after you restarted.
I sent them a mail and got detailed instructions. I have got it now, so can view ratings and I have rated some requesters. A nice tool, I would say. Anyway thanks for your help.
Turkopticon also allows you to sort by requester and see their HIT groups. Of course, there is no way to tell at the moment if there's actual work available, but i do believe they're currently working on it.
This extension is priceless, but I don;t think I have greasemonkey, whatever that is, enabled. I use Firefox V3.6.8.
