Absolutely! So, I did a HIT which she rejected on Dec. 9th, which sounded too good to be true for $1.00. Took me less than a minute. I had to test a link and the images there. There was only a question of "where you able to do this?" and I said yes, and provided additional details such as the URL I went to, a summary of the contents and descriptions of the images. There was no confirmation code or anything. Then, about an hour ago she had a similar easy kind of hit up for $1.00. I did not go near that. Then just 5 minutes ago (not findable anymore), she requested just an email address (which takes you to having to enter personal info to complete the hit) and asks if you've done it or not. NO codes or proof otherwise. She should be banned as a requester.

I agree. I have a 99.6 % approval rate, and I had only 2 rejects, which were when I first began turking. I JUST came across one of her hits, and it was so simple, I didn't believe it, but HAVE found ones similar before, AND got paid for them. I, too did the easy task, and said 'yes' I completed the task, and then wrote down exactly what I did. I was immediately rejected, and I messaged her to ask why. I am unable to see anymore of her hits, so am thinking that I got blocked. I am hoping that this doesn't get me banned or something?
Hi, I'm new to MTurk, been working for less than month, and had the same, open the photo experience Laura had. I've emailed but have yet to receive an answer. I had a 98.6% completion rate. I don't know the mechanism for contacting MTurk about spam and other issues such as the above. If someone would be so kind as to point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
Exact same thing happened to me. No confirmation code nothing, just asked for an email and if I were able to do it. I emailed her after I got the rejection but never heard from her.
I also got "taken" by this person. Bummer is that I am new to MTurk (2 days in) and I fear the rejects from her are going to majorly affect my HIT approval percentage and ability to participate in other HITs (if I understand how this works correctly). Is there any way to report this abuse to Amazon? Also, I'm sort of surprised there doesn't seem to be any mechanism for rating requestors. If workers can be rated on HIT approval/rejection, shouldn't it also go the other way around so that us workers can be somewhat protected from these scammers?
I wish I would have read this earlier. definitely a scammer. I completed the "Answer A Short Survey" hit on Dec 24th and it was rejected about an hour after I submitted it. Her reason was "Data was not validated for this task."
