I've been on Mturk for a couple of weeks but I've only been working on the ones that are right on the site (where you don't need to click a link to access the job.)
The one time that I did click a link I got warnings from my anti-virus so I've avoided any of the ones that require clicking a link.
Is there any way of telling if a link is safe? I've used Dr. Web but there are a lot of false negatives.
    Thanks!

Well generally hits from requesters haven't led me to pages that my antivirus/etc has found suspicious. Hits from requesters such as Classify This, hasn't led me to malicious websites. I would say if you do hits from well-established requesters, you shouldn't have an issue, but if your antivirus says something I would just return the hit.

If you see a $15 dollar hit that asks you to click on a link to "test their website" and only 1 hit is available, don't do it :p

LOL - right! That much I figured out the first day. When most were just a few cents the very high priced ones were suspicious.

Many hits which are paying high with one hit available, once you click accept it will come "this hit is not available anymore" then what is the point of that hit if its still mentioned available.

I post links to sites in my requests. I don't know a way to prove it is legit except to say I have been receiving positive feedback. I guess once there is a turkopticon review, then you might feel safer... Tough call. Go with your gut I think.

ennaira, the hit is still available for others. The number of hits are how many times you can perform the hit. I can create 1 hit and request 1000 different people to perform the hit. 1000 people get to do the job, but it only displays as 1 HIT.

However, if I post the same HIT 1000 times and ask that only 1 person can perform each task. Then you could perform the HIT 1000 times and it would disappear after #1000.
