A couple of days ago, a parasite from the Black Hat SEO Forum who apprently didn't like what I had to say about their unethical, illegal activities on turk, decided to post HITS using what he thought was my requester name, "Stevie Costello." (I use a different name for posting HITS) The HITS were low paying and stupid and probably a vain attempt to discredit me. Whatever. I very rarely ever post HITS and when I do, it's usually something for personal projects and I will always let you know in advance. So if you did any of those and got rejected or got nasty feedback or any other negative outcome--it was this guy's idea of getting back and me and trying to ruin my reputation. That's what unintelligent people do when they don't have the I.Q. God gave a grilled cheese sandwich and can't make a reasonable, verbal reply. Hope you're all doing well! Stevie/Shego
His requester ID is A12JZWTAKQTR8C. Other names this guy has posted under: Hubert Mayer Rob Preskey I wrote a post some months back about the issue of multiple requesters using the same name (http://www.mturkforum.com/showthread.php?t=369). In this case, the guy got her name wrong, but less stupid miscreants might not make the same mistake. Workers, beware! If something doesn't seem legit, it probably isn't. And even if it does look fine, there's still a chance you're being deceived. If a requester's behavior unexpectedly changes, take a look at that requester ID and see if it's really the same person or not.
Hi Shego, Sorry to even ask about this issue. I have full faith in you and couldn't for a moment believe that you would post such (Digg/Reditt) HIT. I was surprised to see them popping up during your nighttime.
Thanks sonica! He posted them at that time thinking I would be asleep and would not know about it. Usually I would be asleep at 3 AM, but i was having a nice conversation with ergo online and another friend so I just happened to be awake and decided to look at mturk. Imagine my surprise! Better yet, imagine his when I contacted him via mturk and chewed his butt for doing it! LOL! He probably had to change his underwear after he read it.
I haven't been regular at MTurk. But that day your HITs were visible on the dashboard, which made me check further and imagine my surprise when I saw the kind of HITs they were and the pay offered! That forum needs to be followed as they are coming up with new ways to beat the system.
I agree. That forum is a boil on the butt of humanity! They were sniveling about my article on their forum--crying because they were tired of "being spied on" and written abusively about. Duh! Your forum is public--what did they expect? Stupid!
Maybe he's just trying to get even with you in a way he felt fit. Having done this, he maybe feeling a bit relieved of the burden he owed to you. Well, you too must be quite relieved now. Actually I saw something rather bizarre associated with the term Shego when I was doing totally unrelated kgb searches the other day.It appeared to be some type of strange porn story,but I was interested in what I was getting paid for and I only noticed because I remembered the username here.
It's quite possible that Shego had read that story some day before joining the forum & was so impressed by that term that she decided to use it as a username here.
