I just expired a HIT and would now like to reactivate it. How do I do that?

    The sequence went like this:

    1) Create HIT
    2) Give it a small group of assignments (20) to test out what I would get back.
    3) Once I was satisfied, I added ~1000 more assignments.
    4) I realized that this was a few more than I wanted; I tried to add a negative number of assignments and couldn't.
    5) I expired the HIT, figuring I could repost it as a separate HIT. I was told that, since all my money was allocated to this HIT, I would need to add more funds.
    6) I tried to add more time in order to reactivate the HIT and couldn't.

I've been through all the docs I can find and can't see anything that even vaguely addresses this.

I cannot believe that no one else has ever wanted to do this, or that Amazon would miss something so blindingly obvious. How do I do this?

UPDATE: Ok, that's weird. I went back and once again tried to add time. This time it worked. However, I'm still stuck with the fact that there are more assignments than I would prefer. Is there a way to remove a few?

Once you choose 'Expire Now' after a few moments, you should be able to add time again. It can be quirky and need a second try. I don't think there's a way to delete assignment amounts, so the only thing you can do is limit time.

As for the allocation of money, I'd think they would release it after a certain timespan--not sure what it would be.

Thanks lightdark. Yes, it did finally let me add more time. I finally just decided not to worry about the extra responses...I'll either pay a couple bucks in overage charges at SurveyMonkey or expire this HIT early.

    I appreciate the fast response.
