I received a bonus but no contact from Bmac. He currently has two low paying HITs out. The 1 cent one is the older one and that's the one I did. I received my penny plus a reasonable bonus. I don't know if everyone gets bonuses, or just the ones that give really good results. So don't do it to expect a bonus. Without hoping for a bonus, I don't think I would have done it either. Then again, I like to get my two cents in. The three cent one is much shorter HIT to do, so I'll give that one a go right now.
I know it's an odd way to get peoples attention or their willingness to actually do it. But, in this case it worked out for me. I've done 0 cent HITs in the past (really easy) thinking they would be decent enough to issue some bonus, but no luck. It seems like a new requester trying to get a feel for how they can use Mturk. And in the three cent short HIT, they are asking for ideas about what kinds of things/business can be done though Mturk, that not already are.
