Unfortunately I don't see how they could expedite this process.

    Kire,

Your suggestion was to "hurry up" the approval process. I don't see how it could be rushed, since the requester has to approve on his own time. I guess they could shorten the life to about three days of each approval period before automatic acceptance.

I have the same problem! I've been working for Neeraj Kumar and after 5 days, he still has not checked my turks. Yet he posts more hits on the website. Maybe you guys could adapt a policy that makes them pay up on previous HITs before creating new ones.

I'm not sure about making them pay up before posting new, because they could be posting a group of them one after the other. The auto payout after three days would be lovely though. It would definitely give them an incentive to make decisions on their pending lists much quicker. We have a timelimit to complete a hit, why shouldn't they have one to pay us?

I was just going to suggest the same thing -- I think the requesters should be given a time limit in which they need to respond otherwise they get the boot...

They should definitely do it faster and giving them the boot might be a good idea otherwise

I agree that hits should have a time limit to make payment. If they were paying an employee, they would have to pay on a schedule. Should be no different here. I think 2 weeks should be the absolute latest. Not a month as it is currently to autoaccept them.

if the approvals can't be hurried, maybe payment date could be posted along with the HIT, so turkers could see when payments would be posted

After a couple of weeks, I think it's perfectly reasonable to contact the requester and let them know that workers appreciate having their work graded in a timely manner.

I agree! They are usually very nice when contacting them! Most I have found are understanding! It's worth a shot!

At a 'real' job you often have to wait 2 weeks to be paid. I don't feel it's unreasonable to wait that long to be paid here either.

I've had to wait up to two weeks before some HITs have been approved. I suppose it depends on the requester, though...
