I seen a post about this in the forum and thought I'd warn everyone else using pre paid cards. There is a prepaid card company called Account Now. I didn't do the research till after the fact. Reading how they draw random amounts off your Account Now card at random times. Well I went ahead and got an Account Now prepaid card.. It arrived 4 days later in the mail. Shortly after, I logged online and noticed to 5.00 withdraws that I didn't do. Tried to call. The company is over seas. Just warning you guys, steer away from Account Now. If your looking for pre paid debit cards to withdraw from, I've had good luck with PayPal and the Walmart Prepaid Debit Cards. You get a account number and routing number and everything you need. But do research before you deal with some of these companies! Good luck to everyone!
It's a damn shame how you can't trust anyone anymore. Thanks for the word of warning. I have a Walmart prepaid debit card and have had no problems with it. It's through GreenDot though, and after reading yesterday's posts about the MoneyPak I'm glad I never used those to add funds.
I've had an AccountNow account for 3 years. I love it. Never any problems. Anytime i needed it, it was great customer service. It's a great banking service for people that can't get a regular checking account due to credit scores. Just my two cents. Nothing to do with answering a HIT on it.
I think I read this in a different thread but I want to make sure..If I get a prepaid debit card, I can transfer my earned mturk money to it and use as a credit card..but can I withdraw cash from the prepaid credit card?
Actually there are some faithful company which give a good service. But for the fake one it's gonna be unfaithful.
Walmart debit cards master and visa are legit. Used them over and over with a variety of differn't sites such as paypal, etc. They provide you everything you need. Account numbers, routing number, etc.
I had an Account now card for years and that $5.00 comes from transactions trying to come through and there not being enough money in the account to cover them. They are FAR from a scam, though. I had a couple thousand dollars in my account at one time last tax season, and if they were going to try to swindle anyone out of money, I would think they would have gotten some of that. The ONLY reason I quit using them is because they don't post deposits to your account until Noon eastern time and I got tired of waiting around for it when I had a bill to pay.
