Google spider

    When I log on I see a guest who is called google spider. Anyone knows what is google spider?

    A google spider crawls our site for content to be displayed and updated in the Google Search engine.

    I am not so conversant with this online terminology, thanks for clearing it up. Your site seems to be popular, as I see this google spider most of the time when I log on here. My kid is bugging me as to why I am a senior member and not an administrator. He has high ambitions for me. I am happy being a member of this forum as I don't have any added responsibility.

    I also see Google Spider often. And now-a-days, Yahoo! Slurp Spider is also active most of the time on the site.
