If a hit is meant only for US residents, it would save time and energy if the requirement is put in the hit title. Many times I have clicked on a hit, went through the instructions, and found this requirement at the end of the hit. This is sheer waste of time. Do you agree that this kind of specification in the title would help us turks?
Requesters can restrict HITs to Turkers from a specified country, province, state or even city using the Location Qualification. If one uses MTurk's HIT designer the only one available is Country, but HIT-Builder.com probably offers the other options. Another downside of MTurk's designer is that if you use the Location Qualification, you can't also use Approval Rating. After four years, that's the best they can come up with? Amazon should just give up and send people to that other site since it's so much more useful than their own. Of course, for ultimate control, it's possible to write one's one HIT creator and processor, as some of the more established requesters do. Amazon provides a programming interface, but that's a lot of work for someone who just wants to post a simple HIT specifically for workers in Iceland who have >95% approval.
