Oh I so wish in the hits for the day we could search by other means than pending paid and whatever . like amount requester etc. Would also love if there is notes from requester back on a hit I did or a question I asked [if the requester responded there, I would not have to go through pages to find them lots of times I dont see them but by accident. Makes me wonder how many I missed.

Also would love it if they would be more on top of bots ... It really seems to discourage new workers at least from what others have told me .
If they would respond to workers feeling better about being scammed it takes a lot for some of the scammer requesters to get caught and then some seem to come back under diffrent names . arggggg

Something like this is on the way, though it's being put together by someone other than Amazon. If we continue to wait for Amazon to improve the interface in all the ways we'd like, we'll be waiting for a very long time indeed.

I've sent Amazon an outline for a simple upgrade that would allow them to detect the vast majority of cheatbots easily, even bots that haven't been written yet. Hopefully they'll consider putting something like that in place, regardless of whether they use my solution or develop their own.

Do you mean you could search hits by Requester's name? If so, then me too wished it and waited for long for this to happen. Unfortunately, it hasn't happened as yet.

However, I've sort out my own way to handle it. What I do is just copy the URL of the Requester (while viewing the HITs, you'll find the Requester's name. Just right-click on that URL and copy-paste it in your Notepad or Word document) and whenever I want to see whether there are any HITs by that Requester, I just use that URL.

Besides, there are some Requesters who put their names too as keywords for search. For such Requesters, you can find their HITs by their name (I feel Question Swami does that, though I haven't taken any of his HITs yet). It will be better if other Requester too follow that pattern if Amazon doesn't do anything about it.

I do something similar, but I add the URL to a bookmark instead, and that way I can keep my favorite requesters on my browser's bookmark bar for quick access.

I'm aware of that option too. However, I use the Word document option since my browser's bookmarking bar is already too much filled up and I don't want to add more to it.

Anyways, it's good you mentioned it since all may not have their browser's bookmarking bar already filled up like mine.

Another thing you can do is assign a shortcut to the link. Eg., set things up so that by typing 'cw' in your address bar, you'll get all the HITs for CastingWords, or 'tl' for techlist, etc. That way you don't need to clutter up your bookmark bar or do copy and paste.

I know Firefox and Opera both support this feature, and maybe some other browsers do as well.

Sure. I guess you're probably using Firefox?

As you already know, but I'll repeat in case someone else missed your great message above, when you're looking at the list of HITs, you can click any requester's name to view a list of just that requester's HITs.

Once you're looking at their HITs, hit Ctrl-D to bring up the Add Bookmark window.

In the Keyword area of that window, type the shortcut text you want to use for this bookmark. For example, if you're bookmarking mtlabel's HIT page, maybe you'd want to use mt.

    Save the bookmark.

Now, anytime you want to look at their HITs, type the same keyword in the address bar. Eg., continuing the same example, type mt and press the Enter key to see mtlabel's HITs.

This works in Firefox and Opera for certain, but maybe other browsers have the same feature as well.

Thanks for the tips. However, my Firefox browser seems to be of outdated version. When I'm pressing Ctrl+D, the Add Bookmark window opens but it has no options for keywords. It just has two options: 1] Name: [the option for assigning name to bookmark] and 2] Create in: [the option for choosing the folder I want to put it in]. I tried to follow your procedure by putting mt for name since there was no keyword option and then typed mt in my browser and hit Enter, but I was taken to www.mt.com.

So I came to the conclusion that I'm using an outdated version of Firefox. Having done this, I went to my Flock browser and tried the same there. There I got search engine results for mt :(. In Google Chrome, it got added to the Bookmark Bar. I won't like to try it with my IE and Avant browser since they're very slow compared to the others I've. Unfortunately, I don't have Opera. I had it once but had to get rid of it since it works too slow and I didn't want it to add since I already had 2 such browsers.

BTW, what Firefox version are you using???

I think I have 3.0.6. installed, but I'm pretty sure the Keyword feature should be available in any version since 2.0. Try this and see if it works:

    • Hit Ctrl-D and save the bookmark.
    • Then hit Ctrl-B to open the Bookmark Manager.
    • Right-click on the name of the bookmark you just created, and choose Properties.
    • Do you see a Keyword box? If so, add your keyword and save it. If there is no such box, maybe it's only available in a newer version of Firefox.

Thanks again for the excellent tip. Though my Firefox version is older than 2, it really worked out this way. You're really being very helpful. Thanks a lot for that.
