I'm sorry but this week it's ..... (drum roll) .... the envelope, please ....... Ignite Media Why? ..... Because they taught me the only French that I know.
I've been doing a raft of ClariTrans verbatim transcription HITs lately. I like them because they're short, the guy pays quickly, and especially when I'm transcribing lectures, I learn things, too. For example, I learned what intussusception was this evening. (Telescoping of the bowel, often associated with rotavirus.) The only ones I'm less than thrilled with are the phone transcription hits, because they seem to have the most God-awful audio quality and least practiced speakers, and having to write "um, uh, y'know, it's like um, uh, y'know, I, I think that, that um, uh" does tend to try one's patience after a while.
I love five minute surveys that pay well. For a survey, ten cents per their estimated minute. Varies. Sometimes they say it should take 5 and are paying 45 cents. I'll do it, usually. I can read and mostly comprehend quickly so they go faster. It's the searching that kills the time. Long surveys burn me out quickly. The requester I work the most for is CastingWords. They usually have something up, their customer service guy I usually correspond with is efficient and fair, and I haven't had a rejection yet. They are not my favorite requester because I know how much I make an hour, but that's due to lack of skill on my part. Learning though.
Yeah, Oscar Smith is good if you like being criminally underpaid. My favorite is Angela Medlar. Perfect approval rate with her, and the HITs she posts are very straight forward and quick. I'm going by requesters that actually post hits regularly. Survos was AWESOME, but only ever put one batch of HITs up.
My favourite is Pulse They don't post that often, maybe once a week or so but if you're lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time then I can't really think of another HIT i'd rather do.
Forgot about them, they are awesome too. I lucked out on Thursday and caught the tail end of a batch they posted during my lunch break... cranked out 20 of them in just a few minutes, at 10 cents each.
I like Joe Elliott, entering bib numbers for racers, fast, easy hits, big batches, pays quick. Usually Sundays or Mondays!
My favorite is any requester whose task doesn't takes more than 30 seconds to complete and pays at least 0.05. Still play it safe and do a small batch for a new requester and still if they accept some of your hits so that you will fall in their trap, work for various requresters at the same time.
Enigin PLC *was*. Kick ass payment for the work he requests. The same HIT was put up over and over again. So, I kind of knew the answers. Shame that he reduced the pay to 3 cents from 20 cents each.
For me, it was John Gaddy. After he is gone, it is crowdsource. But, they blocked me. So, looking for a new good one.
Hi. I read all your posts, but none of you discovered yet My Favorite Requester. May look selfish, but I kinda' like that somehow. I found them since I "turk", but their HITs come and go so fast, that it's no wonder many of you don't know yet these HITs. Now, I've seen that they qualify new workers, for one type of their HITs and probably many of you will find this easy qualification HITs. Their two types of HITs are each one, a "more in 1" HIT. Why? Because each one , it's a quick HIT + it's an easy HIT + it's a thinking HIT + it's a feedback providing HIT + it's a payed HIT + it's a serious requester's HIT ++++ it's a CHALLENGING HIT!!!! Each one of both types of HITs it's all I need to keep myself working, smiling, active mind and alive!!!! I'm still thinking if it's a smart idea to reveal requester's name or keep it for my self and the others that already know it? I will reveal, cause I'm not a selfish person.... but... take these HITs JUST when I don't work!!!! lol And.... my favorite requester, is....
