Okay this might seem like a nub question but I have to ask it. I used to mturk a year or two ago and when someone approved my work, it got paid out within a couple mins. Now I resigned up after being off for a while and I get this wait 10 days to get paid thing. Now is there a way to get this off your account or not so much. Buffering 10 days is kinda a drag and it seems to be 10 days after they approve it. So in theory I would be waiting 40 days is some arse doesnt approve and waits for it to auto approve. I wonder why they started doing that. If the employer okays the work, it isnt like your cheating anyone. If there is a way to get this stupid buffer time off, please let me know. Thanks Signed, Xeroblade
Curious, when did you sign up? Because if you already had an account then I wouldn't think there'd be a hold. And for others, there's an actual hold where they can't turk at all. Way to get past it - do a task at least once a day for 10 days. Don't let your approval percentage go down the toilet in the meantime. And the 30 days is from when you accepted the HIT, so it won't be 40.
ohhhhh wait - ok I see. You didn't ever go through with the "one hit a day" thing when you initially signed up.
I used a new account. I closed my old one. I can do work no problem, its this hold thing on payment. So If i do work for 10 days in a row then they should stop this whole 10 day waiting period thing from getting approved from a hit to getting paid?
Yes. It doesn't even have to be 10 days in a row, you just have to have a total of 10 days worked, then your hold is taken off and payments process. After that you'll still see hits say Approved - Pending Payment, but they usually start going through within 4 hours or at that point.
