Does anyone listen to music while Turking (obviously, not while transcribing!) Right now I have this list on loop. Amy McDonald, brilliant Scottish singer/songwriter, not getting enough recognition in the UK maybe but HUGE in Europe and deservedly so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRYvuS9OxdA&feature=BFa&list=AL94UKMTqg-9CNhJMEkiP4dess5jooB5Od

I don't like those. My ears are not good at hearing the two things at once on tape (same with background noise). Actually, I am the same in RL, if there's a lot of people talking at once I can't hear any of them properly, just noise!

They are on my playlist now. I only have one song of theirs (I'll be your man), but that's only because I"m poor right now. I listen to everything: old school rap, r&b, classical (love me some Vivaldi), any kind of rock, metal, country, and everything in between. Right now I'm listening to Prodigy.
Anything without words in it (techno, house, trance, etc) .. I find it hard to listen to singing and trying to read something at the same time.
90s grunge. Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Smashing Pumpkins, Silverchair
Same here. It's really bad for me, because it only takes two voices for them to almost be canceled out. I always have to remind the kids to not talk over each other if they want to be heard.
