Sometimes we do have to listen to music while transcribing ... when there is background music in the audio we are transcribing! :)

I don't like those. My ears are not good at hearing the two things at once on tape (same with background noise). Actually, I am the same in RL, if there's a lot of people talking at once I can't hear any of them properly, just noise!

Thanks for the inspiration. I've just completed a transcript whilst playing appropriate background music.

They are on my playlist now. :) I only have one song of theirs (I'll be your man), but that's only because I"m poor right now.

I listen to everything: old school rap, r&b, classical (love me some Vivaldi), any kind of rock, metal, country, and everything in between. Right now I'm listening to Prodigy.

Anything without words in it (techno, house, trance, etc) .. I find it hard to listen to singing and trying to read something at the same time.

Same here. It's really bad for me, because it only takes two voices for them to almost be canceled out. I always have to remind the kids to not talk over each other if they want to be heard.
