If you take a night course or have a hobby, they're both great ways to meet new people. There are other people who overthink too, and they understand.
if you like movies, you can join a Meetup group that meets IRL (in real life.) I've joined 2 knitting groups and a book club at Meetup.com. And I used to belong to a Scrabble group and a businesswomen's group. Good place to meet people. And I also have emotional problems.
I'm off and think I'll probably just avoid mturk tomorrow too (might as well, there is no reason to stare at a computer screen) See you all on Monday. Good Night.
I had a question come up twice recently, so I'll ask for your opinion on it - Is listening to an audio book the same as reading the novel?
That's how you make friends. everyone's a stranger when you first meet them. We were all strangers here before we joined. First you join a group of people who share your interests, and sometimes friendship happens, sometimes it doesn't.
It isn't to me. Sometimes I like to go back and read something I didn't understand, or find where a certain character wasfirst introduced, and you can't do that with an audio book. But some people like audio books when they're driving. It would depend on how complex the book is.
It's easier to meet people on the forum than in real life. It's somehow not so bad and it has it's limitations that real life doesn't have.
