Has any requestor sent back your work for corrections or improvement? I have seen few hits which have specific ID's, and are to be done by a particular turk.

I have wondered on this same thing. I really wish some would , mistakes happen and people are not perfect. I would much rather redo work than just get rejected. I do think though some of the hits it would just defeate the M in Mturk

None of my work has even come back for corrections, either.

I don't believe there is an option for the requestors to return the work for you. I believe it's a one time reply and hope that you answered it correctly.

There's no formal return process, but requesters can contact you by email before approving the HIT and ask you to correct mistakes with your submission. It's better than getting a rejection. I've only had it happen to me once, when I forgot to include one small piece of information required for a very long and involved HIT.

How do they reach you by email? I thought if you did not write into a requestor at all, that they cannot reach you, since your only identifiable by your mturk id? I was under the understanding that they only received an email address, once you contacted them for further help or to ask a question in order to be able to reply to you.

Thanks for the tip. :) I have gotten those from Channel Intelligence, but I had always thought it was because I had contacted them first in the past. But now that you point that out, it makes sense. Thanks!

I was contacted by email once and encouraged to beef up a piece I did that was a bit shy on the word count. But that's the only time. I have contacted requestors to ask them how I might improve but have never received a reply. I also get frustrated when the instructions say that we should use our best judgement--that's it opinion based--and then they reject some of the hits. Everybody's viewpoint is subjective so I don't see how they justify it. I once contacted a requestor because I knew I did the hit exactly right. He apologized and wanted to pay me, but I declined. Basically, I needed for him to know that I was on top of my game. It's easy to feel taken advantage of sometimes.

Working as a requester, I have received emails starting like the one HalfBaked mentioned, but there was no link to click on in order to reply. All I have is their Customer ID and I would like to reply, but haven't been able to figure out how to do this.

mjanes, you just have to hit the Reply button, just as you answer any other email. It will go straight to that person who send the query to you. Their email is also in the email header.

Back to the thread topic: Question Swami is one known for sending back work multiple times for revisions and improvements. People say he does it too much.

    Never

Not a single was given a chance for correction, requesters should give turkers a chance on how to improve based on rejected hits. I have tried contacting many requesters for explanation on why of my hits were rejected but no one bothered to reply.
