Well, many young families are not prepared for such a loss and they are likely to experience many problems in the future like depression, job loss etc. not to mention the costs associated with the funerals of the 1st graders. An average funeral costs $15K
Think of all the therapy those 5 and 6 year olds need! i remember reading of one girl who was covered in her friend blood and played dead next to their bodies. D: thats why they need donation
Try Redwood. I only recommend Oscar if you are trying to desperately raise your approval rating or if you are from out of the US and can't get a better rate.
Also, I would imagine that they're going to need help with rebuilding the school, itself. No one is going to want to go back in there now - it's like when Columbine High had to be completely rebuilt, because the memories and flashbacks were too much for a lot of people.
If we are worried about the total amount of happiness in the world, I think the parents of Sandy Hook victims should donate to me. i mean, they just lost a child, losing $50-$100 shouldn't cause them any more sadness whatsoever. However, an extra $1000-$2000 would make me overjoyed. So for the good of the entire world, I donated nothing.
