so apparently you can't purchase things from amazon with $ in amazon payments from third party sellers? i just tried to purchase something the other day and it tried to bill my credit card. called em up and they said that i had to pay w/ a card. is that BS or what?! i'm kinda pissed because it was the lowest price i've ever seen for this item and now its back up to the normal selling price. i'm i crazy or is this straight retarded?
Thats weird. I ordered 2 DVD's a few days ago using Amazon payments from third party sellers. Was not an issue for me.
That's odd, we must have a different idea of what you are talking about then, because like chpoet19 I have purchased lots of stuff from third party sellers (not fulfilled by Amazon) with a gift card. IDK?
Me too. If the product is listed on Amazon's retail site (not as an ad from an off-site seller), = can be put in your Amazon retail shopping cart, the merchant has to take Amazon giftcards. In fact, I don't know how they couldn't, since Amazon handles the payments on everything in your cart on their retail site. OP, are you by any chance looking at the merchants listed on Amazon Payments' site, rather than on Amazon's retail site? And when you say you called, who did you call---the merchant directly?
wow this is retarded. just on a whim i decided to try to purchase the item again w/ just the funds in my amazon payment account (no gift card) and it just went through. amazon is screwin w/ me. before i tried to purchase it partly w/ a card and partly with payment funds. this time i did it w/ only payment funds. that might've made things mess up
