yeah, that must've been seriously rough where you are. i lived in sunset park for a few months between apartments and i had a lot of friends who lived in bay ridge over the years, but i was mainly north brooklyn, trying to keep one step ahead of the hipsters.
Today has sucked. Haven't been one for more than an hour, but only at like $4.00 today....keeping me far away from buying stuff on Amazon!
looks like a missed a pretty decent saturday. about an hour or 2 worth of errands took all day thanks to snowbirds and last minute shoppers. on top of all that i'm fighting a cold... a lil grumpy meh
Lived in Bay Ridge for a while. Nice area. Luckily don't have to deal with hipsters here, but it sure makes me wish I spoke Russian.
5 or 6 hours? Maybe more? I tend to turk while I'm just surfing around the internet or playing poker. If a good job comes I'll focus on that, but in general it's just time I would be screwing around online anyway. Basically, if I'm at home and not doing anything, I'm 'turking', but it has to be an awesome, long job that will keep me from turking instead of doing something with friends or whatever.
yeah, it's a bit too suburban for me, and too many bad memories of being drunk and god knows what else at 4am waiting for the garbage and/or cleaning trains to move so i could finally get back to my apt. some really good and really cheap sushi in bay ridge too. sometimes both in the same place.
Yeah, that sounds like what I'd hope to do. Something like 11am-4pm. Maybe more/less depending on the day.
stick with it. at first i thought the same thing but it all adds up. plus when you start building up qualifications and approvals things just keep getting better and better
i do it from whenever i wake up until whenever i fall asleep. i take breaks but unless i'm out of the apartment i'm always at least checking this thread and mturk...
In this new job that I'm negotiating, I'm demanding that I still be able to keep my turk schedule while I'm working.
Basically this. I have sites I click around on the internet, this is another, and I'll jump on something that looks good.
