I don't see why it would. Are you saying it would be disabled because your rate is too low, or too high?
95 percent is perfectly fine, you can still do most HITS with that. I don't see why you'd be banned for that. Now, if it was like 45 percent, that's not good though!
i dont think, higher rates will disable your account. I'm new and have 92% rate and has done just about 200 hits.
Sorry to bump this thread, but was 95% really considered good back then? It's pretty much the bare minimum now, with very few hits available to you.
I've been meaning to ask, what is a "good" approval rate anyway? Every time I get a reject and my rate drops a fraction, I start to panic a little and watch my numbers like a hawk.
I would think that now it would be around 98%. Any lower than that and you will find yourself cut off from more and more hits. High 99% is pretty much where you want to be. It is technically possible to have 100% even with rejections, but the ratio must be so high as to make it virtually impossible to have. I wasn't around in 2009, so I don't know what the situation was back then.
The ratio is 1 reject takes 2000 approved hits to remove. I had 38 rejects and when I hit 76,000 approved, it reset to 100% (from 99.9). But that's Amazon's way to calculate 100%.
Ewd hit it right on the money. In Mturk's Beta days, 95% approval rating was awesome. 95% approval rating now days is barely passing, with a major limit to the amount of jobs you can do. If you're careful and pay attention it's not difficult to maintain a 100% approval rating on a constant basis. Of coarse you'll run into a bad requester, but working hard enough it's not difficult to maintain a 100%.
When I started in 2007 there were a lot more hits available no matter what your percentage was. I never had to take all those boring, tedious surveys and do penny hits unless I wanted to. We could do as many hits as we wanted and when we signed up, approval was instantaneous as soon as we received our confirmation email. You'd think for all the crap they put us through now the pay would be better but I actually made more money back then with far fewer hours than I have to log now to make half as much.
FWIW, I still see “beta” in the upper left corner of every AMT page. Here begins opinion I don’t believe Amazon is as bad as Google re: abruptly pulling the plug on services, but it would be folly to make long-term income plans on any “beta” service. AMT could be gone tomorrow or the next month or it could last for years. Here ends opinion
Look at it this way, some qualifications ask for a rate above only 8%; so I'd say anything +/- 95% is OK. I messed up the other day and had 9 rejected, and shipped my pants, but I'm climbing back up, one HIT at a time. You mean I can ship my pants?
