In a month i never gotten a single email from them. So I just wrote my own program to notify me of when HIT's are posted.

 

You should open a web site or something and take donations. I have not gotten more the 5 emails in the last year.

 

Really?? That's weird.

I signed up 5 days ago, and Gotten over 70 emails from them. I had to cut Crowdsource off, because it kept blowing up my phone with a new email all the time.

Are you sure you're Subscribed to them and turned on to receive email notifications?

The app I wrote just runs on my computer makes it much simpler to have my computer beep like its the end of the world to get my attention

That said I do have a hosting package already and might just toss up a website.

Glad I found this forum because it sounds like you guys turk like I do - forget surveys, all about those batches! Happy turkey day all!

 

Likewise, I find myself getting piles of emails and having to turn requesters off.

 

I just subscribed as well and it seems to be working perfectly.

Even set up a gmail filter to forward TurkAlert emails to my phone so I see them as texts.

 

A lot of us seem to like batches more, but there are definitely some surveys worth doing. It's just the holiday in the U.S., so a lot of university researchers aren't around posting them.

Surveys also tend to die down during non-business/school hours and on weekends in the U.S. for mostly the same reasons. (Researchers are at home)

Has anyone noticed the timer is messed up and it is starting at 4:38 instead of 0:01. I have had three HITS expire on me because of this defect of character from Mturk.
