  4. Ignite auto-approves after 7 days, always. I used to do them in the past to get my numbers up, but stopped working for them now. They hand out 1 or 2 rejects in a batch of about 200. And, they'll let you know what went wrong in the rejected HIT through the feedback system. But I've always felt it was some error on their side. Usually, the rejection, if any, comes in 2 or 3 days. All the rest goes through auto approval after 7 days.

EDIT: Forgot to add this point, COMMUNICATION = 0

Here's a quick one for $0.25 - took about 30 seconds - Oh, by the way, hope everyone is having a nice Thanksgiving! -

Read and answer 3 very short questions.

Are the crowdflower ones in a fake Cockney accent? I can't understand a word she's saying in some of these!

I was able to do 24 of them. Can't wait to do more HITS like these.

I can't stand when the requester is vague in what they expect and then tell you that what you did was not specific enough. Example: They ask you what will you find out by going to this link.

I put: damage done by hurricane Sandy

They told me I was wrong and I should have put: damage done by hurricane

    Bull

Here's a link anyway if you want to give it a try. .18c a HIT and it would prob. take about 1min to 1.5mins to finish a hit.

I'm telling you stay away from CF. They have been very bad with rejects and scam surveys lately

I'm not big on their surveys, but I have 200+ HITs from them with zero rejections, and theres no mention of a rejection on their TO. (ctrl+f "reject")

They will just prevent you from doing their HITs if your accuracy gets too low (soft block)

Edit: I'm silly. I see some TO mentioning rejections now. However, I'm still okay with them. I usually only do their english sound hits or the ones for searching Google and relaying page rank data.

I've got it down to not even needing to touch my mouse to complete one of those HITs, and I'm working on making the process even faster.

    Woohoo Californians!

Apologies to Blazed, the *one* native Oregonian I've practically ever met.

Turking Update: I sent a pretty strident message to the Stony Brook CBPE requester regarding his survey rejection. His TO now has 6 angry and dismal reviews, which I told him about (but didn't link him). He said this was the first HIT he ever created. If he doesn't work with me on this, it looks like he hasn't got much of a future on mTurk at this rate... he genuinely seemed sorry to reject me, but couldn't find a record of my ID. I think the problem is on his end. Yet we're the ones with the burden of proof and we can't even prove anything. Yes, I get frustrated when I'm being treated unfairly... anyway happy Thanksgiving y'all, I'm gonna go watch the parade!
