Woah, that sucks. I wonder how consistent it's been so far, and whether more people are having trouble with it, or no trouble at all. My experience was hassle-free and the $ instantly transferred from MTurk to Amazon Payments (Wednesday). I'll transfer again later today (Friday) and will report back.
new payment method not working I have been with Mturk for 4 years and the payment method worked fine, the new one started yesterday for me, and it worked fine, but today when I went to transfer my money, it said I could only do one transfer, that I should try tomorrow. I hadn't done one yet!! Already I don't like it. Now what??? Marji
I've sent them two emails, no response and this was done early this morning. I even tried called Amazon, I'm a Prime member and good customer. Makes me mad that they have to change things, and then they don't work. Job security, just have to make changes!!!
Yes it does. It's possible this is to cut down on people transferring to their bank every time they get $1.
It had no effect on me either way, but a lot of newer Turkers seem to worry about their return/expired rate when there's no need to.
I just transferred $ for the second time since the new payment system went in effect & it was instant again.
It appears that you have to actually wait 24 hours to transfer again, which is really annoying since every day you have to transfer later. I wish Amazon would let us automate this and just let us decide to automatically have all of our money transferred at a certain time every day.
It is exactly 24 hours since I transferred money and it wont let me transfer anymore til I get passed some amount of time. I dont like this. Should be able to access money at all times.
Returns gone from dashboard Yes, finally! Too bad all those negative ratings across the board for having to return can't be removed. I always look at the specific reviews to get a true picture of the requester. Quick-view sometimes looks bad when in fact the the low ratings are caused by ignoramuses that thought a return was going to lower their status somehow. Abandoned and submitted rate also gone.
I kind of like the new system now that I'm getting used to it. Here's my breakdown: Pros: - Amazon Payments pages are "cleaner" to look through (by far). It used to be an unholy mess with gazillions of teeny tiny sums of money going in there and withdrawals buried in there somewhere. - No more stupid return/abandoned stats. Cons: - A couple of more clicks to get to your account balance via Mturk. I miss that data being IN Mturk on the "account settings" page. Now you HAVE to go into payments to see it. It's not a huge deal, though. - The "25 hours rule" on transferring money into Payments is slightly annoying.
Actually it's just 24 hours on the clock. I did my first one 11:50 PM and it's ready to go every day since.
I'm trying to keep up my $200 a week average deposit, but the way they have it set up now, I'm not sure when to ask for the transfer. It's been over 24 hours. I wish they would just make it ONCE A DAY,,anytime. Much simpler for all.
