I'm new to the board, and am a new Turker. I did this HIT and it took me about 5 mins.

Thanks for the tip. Trying to figure out how people earn so much in one day. This forum seems to be the key.

A few pointers: definitely follow the forum.. many questions are answered here as well as info on hits and requesters. Also, download chrome or firefox and download TO, you can check a requesters ratings before doing hits.. Find your niche, this is important. Some people stick to batch hits because they tend to be faster, some prefer just surveys because they pay more, some like to do only the writing hits or transcriptions. Take qualification tests! Keep your approval rate high as well, more work will be available to you.. Good luck and welcome to the forum

Those Crowdflower HITs from yesterday are still up, so I'll likely be working away at those ones all day or until they are gone. Of course I'll search once in awhile to see if there is something REALLY good that pops up, but the 15c/minute rate that I get with those CF HITs is better than just about anything else I would find.

Haven't been feeling good at all so I ended up taking a sick day from work, so I'll be laying in bed with the laptop all day working at those.

Turkopticon... basically it's a place where turkers rate requesters. Really useful to help make sure you're not working for some crap requester that is going to rip you off.

I recommend downloading the extension for your browser, that way you will be able to see the ratings right from mturk rather than having to search for the requester on the TO website. You just hover your mouse over the name of the requester (after installing the extension of course) and it gives you their ratings.

batch hit.. is anyone doing these? Reviews are not so great.. I tried a couple in chrome and did exactly as asked and still says I have errors..

 

It says to view source and in the example in the web addy it says that, but I can't find view source on the page..
