Crowdsource limits how many HITs one can do, and they have some kind of unknown mojo regarding how many, over how many days. I can dig it. What I can't dig... I received an email from Crowdsource saying "we have HITs for you" (I am paraphrasing) after a few days of "no remaining HITs" when you'd click on the HIT. Yay! I can do their HITs again! Today I clicked on the open HIT for Crowdsource (doing Google searches) and I get the lovely message: "Sorry, there are no remaining HITs." I now have an open HIT with no task in it, or way to complete it. Do you have suggestions on how to avoid this? I click the Mturk "this link is broken" link (wish they had a "this HIT is broken" link), then return the HIT. Is there a way to know BEFORE you click on the Crowdsource HITs that there's No remaining HITS? Is there a way to avoid piling up your Returned HITs stat? I feel like I'm playing Russian Roulette every time I click on their HITs! Thanks for the help!
That happens to everyone. The way I avoid it is to block them and NEVER work on their HITs. It really makes me furious.
Those hits require many different people to do them, so they limit your time on each one. It isn't broken. I used to have to return a lot of them, but now it usually tells me there aren't any more available before I accept it. I don't know why that's changed.
I notice this too. After they emailed me to say there are HITs you can work for us, I opened one, saw the google searches, not the "NO MORE HITS" thing. It *USED* to display that before I accepted it.... Now it's AFTER acceptance, then NO MORE HITs (you are fubarred gotta Return it). Bums me out man.
Does anyone have any idea how many HITS it takes before you can't do CrowdSource HITS anymore for a certain length of time? If no one knows the specific number, could you ball park it?! How about the period of time for which you have to do them in? Is it say 100 per WEEK? If you are banned from one batch of HITS, can you still work for CrowdSource just on another batch? I'm a newbie, haven't quite reached my 10 days yet! Please help Thank you.
I can't remember what the exact number is, but I believe there's a limit somewhere between, like, 10 and 20 for each batch. Maxing out on one batch does not prevent you from doing others.
