Does anyone know where in my settings to go to make my ID not be publicly linked to my reviews? It was talked about sometime last week, but I couldn't do it then.
Not really. Your mturk worker ID and your Amazon account ID are the same. The best you can really do is to remove any information from your Amazon profile that you don't want publicly accessible. You can read more in this reddit thread, along with the original article: http://www.reddit.com/r/mturk/comments/19s7dc/mechanical_turk_workers_are_not_anonymous/
OK, I may just be dumb, but how do I post a review on TO, without clicking the link from a script? I can't, for the life of me, figure out where on their page to click to make a review of a requester.
I haven't figured that one out either. I guess you HAVE to use the link from the script to post reviews.
Thanks. I double checked, and nothing that I can find from googling my ID has personal information, so I'm not too worried about it.
On ProductRnR, can anyone tell me......you have to choose a bubble for each picture, but which one do you choose, if there is no adult content??? I have tried to do these a few times, with no luck. TIA
Can someone tell me how to access what HITs and/or contributors make up my Bonuses amount? Would it be through the Database script, or through Amazon's data? Please help! And, thank you! Another question (I feel SO dumb asking) how do I export my database to CSV and/or back it up?
My pending dollar amount always shows $0 but I have 21 in pending. I use chrome. If I click pending overview all it says is "script monkeys are picking bananas" and nothing else ever happens. Does this not work in Chrome?
Is there a way or a script to filter HITs by qualifications? Like hide those that require your location to be US for example. There are times where I look through HITs I am not qualified to yet to see if I can take any tests and such but those Location is US ones makes the search take more time than intended. It doesn't necessarily have to be this qualification but can also be anything else.
I was trying to figure this out last night. I just checked export CSV and set the date ranges I wanted and it prompted me to save/open the file. I saved it then opened it in an excel document.
I don't use Chrome much, so I don't know if it's the same problem, but I know there was a lot of talk about hit database not working after the latest chrome update. http://mturkforum.com/showthread.ph...ed-HIT-Search)&p=164942&viewfull=1#post164942 Squrly posted an updated version of HIT DataBase in that thread. That might fix your problem.
As bonuses are not paid as HITs, the HIT Database won't keep track of them. There's only two ways that I know of, and neither is great. You obviously get an e-mail for each bonus, so that is one way. The other way is you can go into your Amazon Payments account and view daily details. You will have to click on a specific day to view it, but it will tell you if you got a bonus that day. Like I said, both options pretty much suck. Amazon's search function leaves a lot to be desired. The only filter I know of regarding qualifications is to either check the box "for which you are qualified" or leave it unchecked. They really need more options and filters for their search function. But we're the product, the requesters are the buyers, so they have no real need to improve stuff for us.
1. I do quite a few survey HITs. Sometimes, with qualetrics or whatever it is, I'll finish the survey, say that I'm a poor 20 year old white boy who lives in the US ("demographics" ) then go to the next page and get my code to put into MTurk. Sometimes after that there is a little pages which "loads" quickly and "saves" my results. But I'm worried that I don't notice these on occasion and just close the tab after getting my code. Would not going to that final "saving" page affect whether or not I actually "complete" the survey HIT and am able to receive payment? 2. I should have had my limited 10 days be over tomorrow (or 3 A.M. -- which I may be awake until...). During the 10 days, I was only able to do 100/day. How many per day can I do after this? Also, thanks SO much that this website and others like it exist. Before I started turking I read about it a little and saw it described as a "virtual sweatshop", which I suppose it can be if you do terrible HITs all the time (Oscar Smith... ) but with communities like these it can make it very profitable and also a bit silly and fun and enjoyable. I quit my job last August because I started in school again and didn't feel like walking there and back for an hour all the time, and haven't been able to find a good job in walking distance since. I'm just very happy that I found a legit way to make decent $$$ on the internet that I can still do even on the side when I get a "real" job that isn't incredibly awful! So thank you all! :clap2:
1. Sometimes the code is on the final page, and sometimes you still have to click one more page to actually submit. Just make sure you keep a look-out for it. 2. After the probation period, you are allowed to do 3800 HITs a day. So, unless you're Superman, you probably won't have to worry about daily limits again.
2. After the probation period, you are allowed to do 3800 HITs a day. So, unless you're Razor, you probably won't have to worry about daily limits again. FTFY
