    What is this?

I am Tjbot! I'm a solution devised by the genious mods to prevent there ever being a day that hit threads aren't posted! The whole point of my existence is to post a hit thread if one doesn't exist by 12:08am PST. If you see this post, assume that this one is the main post. One of the mod team will clean up existing posts and consolidate once they wake up and get online. As my name indicates, I am a bot. I don't post, nor do I respond to PM's. If you have any problems, send an email to tjbot@ns4t.net or PM Tjololo, he can help out with any issues.

ETA: because everything I typed disappeared. I'm really having trouble getting my new computer to operate smoothly. I was trying to say you have to have a print out of your prescription to do this (and most eyeglass places won't give you one, because they don't want you to be able to buy glasses elsewhere)

My mturk database has disappeared from Chrome and I can't even find it to reinstall it and start from scratch. All of my mturk scripts are just gone. Anybody have a link to download them to chrome??

    MTS is from Chrome store:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mturk-suite/iglbakfobmoijpbigmlfklckogbefnlf?hl=en-US

Tampermonkey or greasemonkey (and a 3rd option I forget the name) is needed to run mturk scripts

    Tapermonkey:
    chttps://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tampermonkey/dhdgffkkebhmkfjojejmpbldmpobfkfo?hl=en

Here's Mturk scripts, whichever you had before, you can search there
    https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts?q=mturk

No fun starting over with a new computer but once it's all done, it feels good that you have a clean, quick, working computer at least for a few years.

I've reinstalled it and confirmed reinstallation and it's just not showing up like it's working. I checked that the tampermonkey extension is on, and it is, yet database is still not functioning.
No idea what else to do at this point, and I cannot for the life of me just remember what I have and have not done.

Are you talking about HIT Tracker? Mturk database?

Maybe try restarting computer. Usually that fixes lots of things.

Yeah those. Restarting didn't fix it. I'm at my wit's end. Maybe I'll try to install Firefox and work with that one?? I don't know what else to try

ETA: Firefox was a bust. It wouldn't even let me load up this page. It kept telling me this site couldn't be found. God, I'm so frustrated now. I installed and reinstalled, confirmed installation, and still can't panda anything, or export anything, or see a checkmark next to any hit.

I tried removing my virus protection. Turning off tampermonkey and violentmonkey, and restarting the browser, then turning them back on. Turning them off and restarting the computer and turning them back on. I just don't understand it. Is it because this is a windows 11 machine instead of windows 10??

Wish I could help. I don't know anything about Windows 11. My computer said it can't update to 11 so I'll just stay where I'm at which is fine. Hope you get it figured out somehow.

I may have finally figured it out. I have the newest version of Chrome now, because I put it on yesterday, and because I had to get the one for Windows 11 64 bit. Just found this notice:

" Starting January 2023, Google Chrome is switching from Manifest V2 to Manifest V3 which kills various types of extensions, including script ones"

It looks like Tampermonkey isn't going to work in Chrome any more.
Are you guys using a different browser? Or is there a fix for this?

I'm still using Tampermonkey and it's working...so far. I didn't know about this update.

Maybe it's because you're using the Windows 10 version of Chrome? Pretty sure that's got to be it.
Crap. I may be shit out of luck, because I can't get Firefox to work properly either.

I might have to just give up working on there. Even though I need that money to live.
    Having an anxiety attack now...

Don't give up, search for computer forums, join and ask around. Or google same issues that you're having.

Googling the same issues is how I found out about the Manifest V3 thing. There does not seem to be a fix for it. At all. Not yet anyway.

My Plan B, such as it is, is to take a few thousand dollars out of my paltry retirement fund, try to live on that for a year, and spend the time finishing writing my current novel. My chance of finally getting somethng published is about that of winning PowerBall, because it doesn't matter how good a book is, only how marketable it is. And I'm no more marketable than I am employable. But at least I'd have finished the manuscript.

I can't quite make up my mind to do it. Banking on finally getting published feels like betting the grocery money on a Shetland pony to win the Kentucky Derby
