Are you using the Turkopticon script? It should work for the new Mturk.

    https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/4391-turkopticon

Are you able to get into PMs now?

Hi! I'm new to this and still getting familar with everything. I'm having an issue where I accepted three different hits from the same requesters, but each of the hits had errors so I returned them each time. I then noticed on my dashboard that I had three rejections from this requesters for these hits although I never submitted the tasks and had originally returned them. What should I do?

    Hi. :welcome: to the forum!

It's not possible to get a rejection unless they were submitted. Perhaps you submitted instead of returning them by accident? In any case, since you got rejected, contact the requester and explain what happened. See what they say and hope for the best.

Thank you so much Flora! I will reach out to the requester. One of the issues was that you couldn't submit the work. The submit button was not activating although the necessary data was there. It seemed like a webpage issue. Thanks again!!:)

I need my spreadsheets edited. I have 5 CVS files with thousands of rows in each of them. I'm only interested in keeping the rows that have the same "owner column entry" and I only need one of each duplicate. I intend to discard all rows that only appear once. Is it possible to accomplish this as an MTurk requester? And if so, how would I create my category in terms of hits, assignments, pricing, and instructions?

    Hello! Welcome to the forum!

That's probably possible. I don't know anything on the requester side let alone designing a HIT. I don't know if you'll find anyone here that does. You may want to ask that question in the Amazon AWS forum where requesters can ask questions about doing HITs.

Good luck! Hope it works out for you.

Thanks for responding but your answer hasn't helped me. I had to sign up to something called AWS and give my credit card info just to be able to ask a question about MTurk that should easily be answered here.

Sorry to hear that. I didn't know they ask for your credit card info. Have you tried Reddit? I've seen requesters ask questions there.

Kinda rude to Flora. We don’t have many requesters come here unless they are recruiting workers. She was just trying to help.

Just to clarify, no one here in the forum works for Mturk. We are all just turkers helping each other. You may have thought since it says Administrator and Staff Member under her name that she works for Mturk. She only is the administrator here in the forum.

I hope you get the answer to your question. Have you contacted Mturk with your question?

I am not sure how to use forums. Forgive me if I have posted this in the wrong place. What does "Included from HIT 10800" mean in Qualifications? What do I do with that?

Hi! :welcome: to the forum! It is the right place to post your questions. :)

Was this in the HIT? Anything in the qualification is the requester's way of screening out or including workers to do their survey. They can name the qualification anything they want. Doesn't mean anything to us personally except to be qualified or excluded. If you qualify for it, go ahead and do it.

Feel free to join us at the Great HITs daily thread where most of us hang out, share HITs and just chat. We can help you there as well.

Thanks for the welcome and the prompt response. :)
It's on the Pending Qualifications page under Qualification it says Inc: [1829708382-108001] and under that it says
    Description
    Included from HIT 108001

Does that mean I can accept HITs from that number or requester or that there is a job held for me or what?

On that one, it sounds like you've done it already so you probably can't do it again. A lot of times, once you take the survey, they'll assign qualifications to prevent re-takes. They don't want duplicates.

I really don't view my qualifications on the qualification page because it has no value to me. I just view HITs itself and see if I'm qualified or not from those. If you see it up, it's likely you qualify. They tend to hide ones you're not qualified for unless they specify in the description like: Must know Excel etc.

Hey all! I'm new and overwhelmed. I've been on MTurk since like 2015 or something. Maybe longer? But never really did much with it.
Now I want to maximize my time and efficiency and get some of the great hits you all love.
I've downloaded MTurk Suite and TurkOpticon. What else do I need.
Do I really need both MTS and TO? If I have MTS do I need Panda Crazy?
The only HITs I really ever see I'm qualified for are the darn receipt ones. I did a few of those yesterday but they are pending. I worry they'll get rejected. (I am trying to build my numbers so I worry about rejects.)
    Where do I even begin?
I'm sure this has all been asked before but I am trying to sift through everything and not be overwhelmed. Thanks in advance.

Hi! :welcome: to the forum! And welcome back to Mturk! Big changes since 2015 I'm sure you've noticed.

Since you have Mturk Suite, it already includes Hit Catcher which is just like Panda Crazy so you don't need it. You can panda HITs straight from the MTurk Suite with a click of a button onto Hit Catcher. You do have to have the HIT Catcher tab up in order to catch HITs.

TO helps to see if the HITs are worth doing, whether someone got rejected or blocks.

There's probably better HITs out there that you can do to build your numbers. A9 sometimes posts. Once in awhile there will be penny batches that don't pay good but will help build numbers. I don't see any at the moment, I think. Keep an eye out for batches.

Feel free to join us in the Great HITs daily thread where most of us hang out, chat and share HITs. Weekends are usually slow. Hoping for a good week tomorrow! :)

Thank you! So now more questions. What does it mean to "Panda" a HIT? Also, how do I know what HITs to put into the HIT catcher? I'm a little confused on how that works. Like, I've done a bunch of HITs the past 2 days and they are pending. Should I do more HITs from those requesters or wait til I know they will approve my HITs?

To panda a HIT means to catch HITs using the accept URL instead of preview. Pandas will accept the HITs for you and put it in your queue. If you see something you want to try catching next time it posts, panda it and it will do the work for you. Like if you see a $2.00 survey that looks interesting or it has good reviews, it might be one you would like to catch. Anything you want to do that is gone when you tried to catch it at the time.

Some people tend to wait to see if the requester approves the batch before proceeding to do more to be on the safe side especially if they are new. That's up to you. To take the risk or not to risk it. Make sure you have enough approved HITs so that rejections don't hurt your HITs approved percentage.

Thank you! I used HIT Finder and HIT Catcher this morning and got some good ones. I'm waiting to see when they approve before I go on. They sure do go quick! But, I was able to put them in the catcher from the logged HITs in Finder to pick up when more happened.
