Besides what I mentioned above, we are having a family party and taking him to eat shrimp. He loves seafood. And I'm going to order a green velvet cake because he's allergic to red dye 40.

 

Didn't know either of those were things, neat.

 

So that's a thing? Green velvet cake? Is the cake its self green or is that just a pet name for something with out red dye 40 in it?

 

It's just the color, should taste the same. I haven't asked them but I will find someone who will make it.

 

I tried to get him to pick blue but he wouldn't.

 

You can also play some Red Velvet to make up for it... 'Ice Cream Cake' might even be topical.

 

I'd be so down for bumper cars and laser tag, must be my inner child coming out.

Every cake ever should be this color, if the frosting was black it'd be even better as this color green with black is my favorite color combo.
