After reading over the stats of both forums. I've found that the people who frequent these forums seem to be making much more money than turker nation. It's kind of interesting. I have found these forums to be really superior to the others.

I've never visited the other forums because I heard over and over that there was a lot of High School drama in some of them and I am WAY past all that nonsense! I like this forum because in general, everyone is respectful of others and eager to help one another succeed on mturk. :)

I think that unless you are in with the "popular" crowd, turkernation is just about worthless. Whether or not any of the turkernation insiders actually get any financial benefit from whatever they learn there, I can't say.

I'm curious to know how many of the elite TN'ers are actually members here under aliases.

That's an interesting thought. I found this forum first and haven't really looked into any others.

I am way too old for drama though I can create my own if so of mind. However, I checked out several sites when I found this one while considering joining MTurk. This forum made sense. The others didn't. This site has its drama, but what forum doesn't? We are human not computers afterall. But this forum stays down to earth and reliable and it makes sense.

I come into this forum just by chance. I never tried searches similar to mturk forum after joining this one. Although I know that there exists some other forums, my needs and doubts are settled here. I like this forum.

me too. I'm familiar with this one. I do belong to one other only because my main turk requester actually posts hints and tips daily on there and for some reason, won't come here (although I've asked). I just check in there daily to see what's up and then come back here.

I actually belong to all three forums. Here under the same name as TN (well close to it. This place has an extra "t" in my name since it seemed I tried to sign up the first time and couldn't) and a different name on CMB but only because the heading used to tell you to change it. I really don't see why people would have a need for an alias though. The other two forums do have their uses and actually I make more money off them then here. Aslo, before you all start complaining about me going back there to stay just note that I did not have to sign up here at all to see what there is to offer.

There was drama. Lots and lots of drama. People posting "here" with their TN names were finding themselves banned over at TN...just a mess. I think it was last late-summer/early-fall. Not sure if the threads are still here, but they probably are. Stlrfn was just trying to help keep further backlash to a minimum when CMB came to be.

I user cloud me baby, Turker nation and also here. They are all very different. TN you have a insiders club and until you are in the club they don't talk to you and you cant view a lot of the forums. Plus the mod lets some of her friends say anything they want and will ban other people for sticking up for them self. Cloud me baby is ok, the set up kinda sucks, but Its nice because it seems like some requester's actually answer questions on that forum. And here is great, everyone is nice and not to many people who are totally full of BS although I could name a few off the top of my head. The only real down side here is, newbies ask for everything instead of just using the search function and when work is super slow people still give it away when they should just work. Example 125k hits total are up Rubin loads 300, instead of working people start posting about Rubin being up and with in minutes all the hits are gone.

They all have good things and bad, but unless your in the old boys club this is most likley the best place for you.

I totally agree with turkernation being worthless. This site gets 3½ times as much traffic as them too (in the US). They are so lame it's not even funny.

Turker Nation is sanitized vs the truth here.
