Yeah, I was thinking that, too. Except with Croudsource search results, I don't have to "Proceed at my own risk" to whatever site they're looking for.

Yeah, you just install the extension, then you go to the HITs page, search for the requester you want, and tell it to monitor that page. You can set as many pages you want, set different alerts, set the update interval, etc. Then it dings or whatever and pops up a little notification to let you know which requester it is. It's pretty convenient.

I work 45-50 hours a week out side of turk and go to grad school. I turk to pay rent and bank all my real jobs money. I shoot for 3-400 per week on turk during the 9 busy turk months and 200 a week during the 3 slow turk months.

Hey, is it possible to set Page Monitor to refresh more frequently than every 5 secs? I've just started using it and it's not obvious. Going by the options menu 5 sec seems to be the fastest and I suspect that might not be enough sometimes!

Wow, that's impressive for how much you work and go to school outside of mturk! No one can ever say you're lazy that's for sure :)

Admittedly mturk augments my sizable stipend (which goes really far in an area with fuck all living costs) and I could do without it.....but a couple extra k a year means more beer for me and perpetually staying ahead on bills.

No, and I think that even if you could, you'd end up exceeding the maximum number of page requests for Amazon at that point.

I would think if you were logged onto the same account with two different computers it would be a problem. They are likely to think that you are two different people working off one account which is bad news.

i thought this would be the case, but it's been working for me for over a month now...

yeah, i just drag the tab out of the window i'm browsing stuff in and then minimize it. i've only got it searching for rubin right now, i don't want to add too many because other batches tend not to disappear as fast, and there aren't any surveys i'd know in advance i want to look out for... rubins, medcrowd, jonna asher and james goldsmith are the only requesters whose hits i would really wanna kick myself for sleeping through...

It's not like you're dual-turking, right? One is just set up for page alerts, and the other is the one you actually do HITs on, correct?

They wouldn't be able to tell easily if it was two different computers or not. They base everything off the external IP address you get from your ISP, which will be the same on all the computers in your house.

Very easy and under 2 mins. for $0.25 -

Answer a few simple quesitons about a short story. Only 1–2 minutes.
    Requester: John Turri

Note: the misspelling of questions as "quesitons" is how it is listed in the HIT title

On average, about 45 seconds. Probably really a range of 30 seconds - 1 minute. It really depends on how fast they're talking. If they're talking really fast I may have to back it up several times to get everything they're saying. If they talk slow enough, then one original run-through and a second to check for mistakes.
