As You Read you are going to see I don't play with them. This is against the law of them holding money from me. As much as I have earned from them. I am having more problems than I wish for this to happen. Do I need to contact a lawyer about getting my money for the work that I have completed? If so I will gladly due so. You can't by law take my money from me. I have been doing Mturk for 5 Years now never had this problem before. Please Resolve in 24 Hours or I will be contacting an attorney.
By law they have to have your TAX info on record and if they give you money without it they may be liable. So, calm down and give them your tax info and all will be good.
They have tax information. Been doing this for 5 Years! They think they can suspend accounts and keep the money that is in them. We do the work we are allowed to be paid for the work we do. I am sorry I am a private Contractor. If you do any other job outside of Mturk and a private contractor and don't get paid you can sue the person. I have done work many times and now they can't refuse payment. Amazon has to learn to stop playing with the workers.
I have been doing this since March of 2012, but the same thing happened to me to this morning. GRRRRR! I just sent them an email to. And as soon as they open up, I am calling them.
Well, I know roughly... 2 months ago I got an alert asking for me to re-enter/update my birthday information so they could re-verify my information for taxes. If I hadn't went to change something else on my profile I never would've saw the little red flag asking for the information. I think they re-verfied a lot of profiles just to make sure their records were up to date. *shrugs* Probably something to do with that. Glad it was resolved either way! Edit: I've had my account for almost 2 years now...
Well my account is also disabled. I think I see what the problem with mine is. I am listed under my maiden name and not my married name. I know I changed it but it did not take. Has anyone gotten theirs resolved.
I just withdrew about 20 minutes ago without a problem. Maybe the people who are having problems entered their re-verification info incorrectly/differently from before...or MAYBE there are some hiccups going on with the change to $1 minimum? Either way, do we really think that we're not going to get paid? Amazon must be after our sweet, sweet turking earnings! Now, if I only could remember where I put my torches...
I just had the same problem. I have been withdrawing a couple times a week for the last 6 months. I wonder if it is just a year end reconciling issue -- figure out the 1099 stuff, then start payments for the new year?
Your Tax Information You can review your tax information below. Please see the FAQ to learn more. SSN: XXX-XX-xxxx Your Name: Julie Bitler Status: Verified Your tax information has been verified. As you can see, Amazon says I am verified, but then I get a message saying they can not verify my information. Something is fishy. Hope this is a computer glitch.
I wonder if those that are able to withdraw are under the $600 threshold for 2012 and those that can't are over? ( Just a thought) I can't withdraw and am over 600 for the year
I was just going to make a post about all this. I've been verified for months and I have the same info as you. It says I'm verified. I just withdrew 20 bucks the other day. Then I got in to do it today and get the message that I'm not verified. I have no idea what's going on. Has anyone had this issue resolved as of yet?
Oh yeah, Oh well, just thinking out loud. Too early for me to think - and no, I am not turking this early, so the no thinking won't lead to erroneous work. Anyway, I bet it is just a glitch. Year end and that whole $1 withdraw thing. It has to be costly to Amazon to allow $1 withdraws. Something must be screwed up in IT
