Well, It's a bit complicated.. What I had to do on that HIT was to identify if an image is safe or pornography.. the hit lightly mentioned in the instructions that if there are too many images that don't load, I should abandon it, yet it did not say how many is too many, I did get a few broken images in every HIT, and correctly marked them as broken.. couldn't have been more than 5-7 images out of every 50 that the HITs had.

And you can see the results.
On one hand, I would say he is a scammer, I would say he adds broken images in the HIT to have a legit reason to reject work.
On the other hand, he will approve a HIT correctly done, so he is somewhat legit.

What I would recommend, if you are willing to take the risk to work for him is that you exercise caution to details, if the instructions seem vague, it is probably a setup so don't work on the HIT unless you are certain you can do it within requested parameters.

I'd like to add to this that following the instructions is no guarantee of approval, either. For that pornography hit, they defined pornography as depiction of sex acts or exposed genitals or breasts. There was also an exception that art wasn't pornography. I followed that rubric perfectly but got a rejection.

My case had a bikini showing some cameltoe, but was perfectly clothed. Another image in that set had a plastic, vulva shaped necklace. These two were not in good taste, but, by their rules, they were not to be marked pornography; the first showed no nudity, the second was art. I marked those as non-pornography and the hit was rejected.

So if you do work with ProductRnR, you risk arbitrary rejection. While I wouldn't exactly call them scammers, it isn't worth working with them, in my opinion.

Yes, +1 for those who said not to work with them... If you want some rejections and get a warning message from Mturk then have to work with them a bulk HITs and get bulk rejections.

Iceblink, stay away from them. Better to block/hide there HITs using the scripts. binuavk got a warning message from Mturk telling the blocking of ProductRnR.

    No issues here

Greetings. I am new to the forum, and have only been working on Mechanical Turk for about a month. I have done approximately 150 HITs for ProductRnR (the flagging of pornographic images), and I have not had any rejections. They pay promptly, too.

I strongly recommend not to do the HITs from ProductRnR and I will not do their HITs anymore. They have got a rejection technique that will really affect your approval rate.

Most of them contain information that relevant and informational. Riazam really makes good posts with pictures and examples. He is by no means a spammer
    on the other hand
If someone did a mass rejection of me I would be pissed and swearing as well

Just wanted to let you guys know, he does have a lot of tricks up his sleeve to make sure you are doing it correctly. I have gotten close to 4,000 hits approved by productrnr. Firstly. Always mark the same photo the same way. If it's porn it's porn all the way through. Some of them have a intentional blank photos that may be missed if you are going to fast. Do it in bulk so if you make a mistake, keep making it, if you know what I mean. If you are unsure of a photo drag it to another tab to bring up the full size image. Because what you see on there is a link to a image shrink-ed image to fit the tiny box. For me it's better to do it in bulk, about 300 at a time because you will notice they are the same images over and over. I included a image of approvals... I have had maybe 10 rejected but I know exactly why. I hope this helps you turkers. I have been turking for years. And lately productrnr is my favorite one to do when I don't feel like doing complicated ones lol.

Also use the tab and the arrow keys. You can pretty much do all his hits with the key board for those who don't not to know. Once you get a pattern going you can knock out a couple hundred in a hour.

And I'm not trying to defend productrnr but I have had very few problems with him over thousands of hits. I'm sorry you guys are troubled.

Productrnr turkopticon ratings are to the left and in the red for a reason.
They reject a lot of HITs and anger a lot of people

The same situation with this scamer ProductRnR:
First they accepted my hits in mass, then it followed the disaster and my approval rate collapsed.
